Tokyo is not as bright as it used to be due to saving electricity effort. It was one of the brightest cities in the world. I live in this district called “Shinjuku” and it used to be crazy bright at night. Illuminations, red light district, such. It is still bright but not as bright as before March 11, 2011. The major nuclear power plant fiasco happened and we do not have enough power. Our train services have been severely suspended for the first few days after the earthquake and during summer when electiricy utility increased, train services were reduced, air conditioning temperature was set higher, the whole city was dark. Now it’s fall and we have more electricity we can use so we are finally relaxed about electricity until the cold winter comes in when we use it more.

No matter what this is my home city and my favorite in the world. I had friends visiting from other countries and I always make sure they have a great time. I like to take them to where tourists cannot easily access or cannot research on Lonely Planet. Tokyo has so much to offer and I make sure of it. One give away I usually do to my non-Tokyo friends from time to time is this. Real Tokyo Guide by Pen which happens to be the fashion magazine for guys in their 30s just like myself. It’s a great read and bilingual. They had the 2011 edition and now the 2012 one came out. Even though it’s not a thick magazine, it’s got the latest good information about this city. It’s informative and you get to learn about Tokyo with this as well even if you are not visiting. Yes, some restaurants and shops must pay for them to be listed but still it’s good. So if you happen to come to Tokyo, this is the must-to-buy Even after the disaster, Tokyo is a beautiful wonderful city and if you haven’t been here, you should experience it some time. Of course, I can be a good host to show you around based on your needs as well. Anyway, Tokyo rocks and I am biased about it but I am not sorry. Happy weekend!

So I have not blogged in a very long time. I wanted to but I didn’t. “I’ve been busy” is not the excuse because when I blogged on a daily basis, I was a lot busier at work.

The blog platform didn’t let me blog easily. So I decided to change the platform

I am not sure how long I can blog but I will give it another shot

It got too personal in the world of the Internet

I still want to blog about my country and I shall

So I ditched the previous blog (I keep it as it is for now but I am not going to link this site to the previous site) but I will bring back some previous posts when I can as I think they are good stuff.

I haven’t been able to play around with the current theme and this is totally not something I want but I will change it gradually in my spare time.

Anyway, life is good and I am a lot older than when I started the first blog but I am still alive. I hope you are having a wonderful time. Anyway, hello world in my geeky terms to start something new Okay. My first blog post completed. Good day!
